Release Anxiety Fast With This Breathing Exercise

Release Anxiety Fast With This Breathing Exercise

I have a very simple breathing exercise for you to try that can help to release any anxiety that you’re feeling.

According to The National Science Foundation, we have about 30,000-50,000 thoughts per day. Let’s face it, we have a lot on our minds. We hope that most of those thoughts are positive and some tend to be negative. We actually have the power to choose which thoughts we want to be repeated.

When your mind takes you to places you don’t want to go to at any point in your day, stop what you’re doing and do this breathing exercise.

Take a comfortable seat wherever you are and you can close your eyes if you please. Start to breathe in slowly through the nose, and exhale out the mouth. Feel your belly and ripcage expand on the inhale and slowly come in on the exhale. Once you find a nice rhythm in your breath, start to breathe in through the nose and exhale through the nose.

Continue to follow the breath for about a minute. When you find a nice rhythm to the breath, continue to breathe in for a count of 4 and exhale out for a count of 4. Keep going until you feel a sense of calm within.

What I love about this breathing exercise is that you can do it anytime and anywhere.

Breathe easy my friends and have a peaceful day!
